Gun from
Fujikawa Maru
This gun was added in 1940, it was originally built in 1899 in the
UK by Elswick Ordnance Company. These guns were fitted to cargo
ships as a basic level of defense, how an 1899 British gun ended
up on a Japanese ship is hard to say, but the British were major
suppliers of equipment and training to the Japanese navy around
the turn of the century. |
